FRIDAY prayer

Here is a Message-

صلاة الجمعة 

On this day, brother Moomin – takes ghusl  (obligatory bath) dresses neatly-wearing cap, sleeves unfolded,perfumed,leaves home early reciting (1 below).Walks calmly to Jum’uah masjid greeting whom he confronts,enters masjid reciting (2 below).Gets to front row (not forcing his way between two persons and not jumping over the necks of others) (close to the Imam).Performs two short rakats (Tahiyyatul Masjid) & sits there). Adhan, he listens & recites, & makes  du’a.: (3 below).
He avoids praying anything bid’ah,(Prior Sunnah) sits quietly & Minutes later, muezzin recites a salawat (no sharia law ) & Imam emerges, Khutba commences,after another Adhan. After (about 1 hour)khutba completed (Kutbha should be short and the prayer long-) muezzin calling the Iqama, brother Moomin gets up only hearing (4 below) and stands erect, completes Jum’uah. After Thasleem (5 below) the Imam starts Du’a in a group (bid’ah) he avoids this & recites by himself all the required Adkhars ie: Istighfār  Tahmīd,  Tahlīl, and  Takbīr as in 6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,&17 below.  (this is the Du’a for the prayer)  (having moved from his sitting position, he prays 4 rakats in twos of sunnah,  or (2 rakats  after going home)Friday Prayer will be an expiation for him for ten days of deeds,(& more)

 (3)Adhan du’a                      (4)Iqama-stand up

(5)Thasleem.  (السَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ الل وَبَرَكَاتُ    6). Istighfār  thrice                               (7)Ta’awwuz- Before reciting Qur’an  (8)Tasmiyah-On  RecitingQur’an    

( 9)returning home-

(10)  After Thakbeer

                وَجَّهـتُ العالَمين ، لا شَريـكَ وَجْهِـيَ لِلَّذي فَطَرَ السَّمـواتِ وَالأَرْضَ حَنـيفَاً وَمـا أَنا مِنَ المشْرِكين ، إِنَّ صَلاتـي ، وَنُسُكي ، وَمَحْـيايَ ، وَمَماتـي للهِ رَبِّ لَهُ وَبِذلكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنا مِنَ المسْلِـمين

 I have turned my face sincerely towards He who has brought forth the heavens and the Earth and I am not of those who associate (others with Allah).  Indeed my prayer, my sacrifice, my life and my death are for Allah, Lord of the worlds, no partner has He, with this I am commanded and I am of the Muslims. O Allah, You are the Sovereign, none has the right to be worshipped except You. 

(11) Between  two prostrations: رَبِّ اغْفِـرْ لي  ، رَبِّ اغْفِـرْ ل My Lord forgive me(twice)

 (12) Tashahhud: sitting position

التَّحِيّـاتُ للهِ وَالصَّلَـواتُ والطَّيِّـبات ، السَّلامُ عَلَيـكَ  أَيُّهـا النَّبِـيُّ  وَرَحْمَـةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكـاتُه ، السَّلامُ عَلَيْـنا وَعَلـى عِبـادِ كَ الصَّـالِحـين . أَشْـهَدُ أَنْ لا إِلـهَ إِلاّ الله ، وَأَشْـهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمّـداً عَبْـدُهُ وَرَسـولُه .

(13) Upon  Prophet  after  tashahhud:

اللّهُـمَّ صَلِّ عَلـى مُحمَّـد، وَعَلـى آلِ مُحمَّد، كَمـا صَلَّيـتَ عَلـى إبْراهـيمَ وَعَلـى آلِ إبْراهـيم، إِنَّكَ حَمـيدٌ مَجـيد ، اللّهُـمَّ بارِكْ عَلـى مُحمَّـد، وَعَلـى آلِ مُحمَّـد،  كَمـا بارِكْتَ عَلـى إبْراهـيمَ وَعَلـى آلِ إبْراهيم، إِنَّكَ حَمـيدٌ مَجـيد

(14)  After  last tashahhud  before salam --- ،

 اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أَعـوذُ بِكَ مِـنْ عَذابِ القَـبْر، وَمِـنْ عَذابِ جَهَـنَّم، وَمِـنْ فِتْـنَةِ  المَحْـيا وَالمَمـات، وَمِـنْ شَـرِّ فِتْـنَةِ  المَسيحِ الدَّجّال ‘O Allah, I take refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, from the torment of the Fire, from the trials and tribulations of life and death and from the evil affliction of Al-Maseeh Ad-Dajjal.’

(15)  After salam      Adkhars after prayers:  

أَسْـتَغْفِرُ الله .  (ثَلاثاً) (three times)

اللّهُـمَّ أَنْـتَ السَّلامُ ، وَمِـنْكَ السَّلام ، تَبارَكْتَ يا ذا الجَـلالِ وَالإِكْـرام .

لا إلهَ إلاّ اللّهُ وحدَهُ لا شريكَ لهُ، لهُ المُـلْكُ ولهُ الحَمْد، وهوَ على كلّ شَيءٍ قَدير، اللّهُـمَّ لا مانِعَ لِما أَعْطَـيْت، وَلا مُعْطِـيَ لِما مَنَـعْت، وَلا يَنْفَـعُ ذا الجَـدِّ مِنْـكَ الجَـد .

سُـبْحانَ اللهِ، والحَمْـدُ لله ، واللهُ أكْـبَ. (ثلاثاً وثلاثين)33 times each

لا إلهَ إلاّ اللّهُ وَحْـدَهُ لا شريكَ لهُ، لهُ الملكُ ولهُ الحَمْد، وهُوَ على كُلّ شَيءٍ قَـدير .

(16) The following three chapters should be recited once after Thuhr, AAasr and Eisha prayers and thrice after Fajr and Maghrib.

 قُـلْ هُـوَ اللهُ أَحَـدٌ ….. [ الإِخْـلاصْ ] قُـلْ أَعـوذُ بِرَبِّ الفَلَـقِ….. [ الفَلَـقْ ] قُـلْ أَعـوذُ بِرَبِّ  النّـاسِ….. [  الـنّاس ]             

 (17) 2:255-(Ayat-Al-Kursiy) after each prayer: ﴿اللَّهُ لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَىُّ الْقَيُّومُ لاَ..... ُ

Rukoo-Subhana rabbiyal-AAatheem (three times)  ‘How perfect my Lord is, The Supreme.’(three times) Rising --- SamiAAal-lahu liman hamidah‘May Allah answer he who praises Him. (Sujood) Subhana rabbiyal-aAAla. (three times)‘How perfect my Lord is, The Most High.’ Between sujood Rabbigh-fir lee, rabbigh-fir lee.‘My Lord forgive me, My Lord forgive me.’ Tashahhud --- -At-tahiyyat is for Allah. All acts of worship and good deeds are for Him.  Peace and the mercy and blessings of Allah be upon you O Prophet.  Peace be upon us and all of Allah’s righteous servants. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.’ Prayers upon Prophet  after tashahhud - (O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and the followers of Muhammad,  just as You sent prayers upon Ibraheem and upon the followers of Ibraheem.  Verily, You are full of praise and majesty. O Allah, send blessings upon Mohammad and upon the family of Muhammad,  just as You sent blessings upon Ibraheem and upon the family of Ibraheem.  Verily, You are full of praise and majesty.’) after the last tashahhud and before salam - (‘O Allah, I take refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, from the torment of the Fire, from the trials and tribulations of life and death and from the evil affliction of Al-Maseeh Ad-Dajjal.’)‘O Allah, I take refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, from the torment of the Fire, from the trials and tribulations of life and death and from the evil affliction of Al-Maseeh Ad-Dajjal.’ After salam -Astaghfirul-lah (three times)Allahumma antas-salam waminkas-salam, tabarakta ya thal-jalali wal-ikram.‘I ask Allah for forgiveness.’(three times)‘O Allah, You are As-Salam and from You is all peace, blessed are You, O Possessor of majesty and honour.’

Note: In Sujood 7parts of the body –forehead & nose; both palms, both knees; and the toes (bent towards kibla)legs together (not apart) ; should touch the floor..  Do not fold trousers and shirt sleeves. Avoid creeping to front row when the iqmah is said if there is insufficient room. In obligatory prayers there is no du’a after salam, only the above recitals. Turn face fully to the right and left in giving salam.  Avoid unnecessary movements while praying. In Aththahiyyath (looking at the right  index finger)avoid moving (which is stretched forward slightly)-and raise it slightly up when du’a on Prophet sal is recited. Remain in Tashhaud position till salam is given.In Standing position- keep looking only at the place of sujood (and not elsewhere).Perform prayer in a DEVOUT frame of mind. Your recitals only for your hearing & understand meanings of recitals..Shift your position for another prayer. Avoid praying always in one particular place in the masjid.Read  Surah Al-Kahf  and more salawat on the Prophet (sal)on Fridays. Greetings given only when you confront - not soon after prayer.There is no prior sunnah of Jum’ah   and no Qunoot in Fajr prayers.
